The IKEA BEKVÄM Spice Rack Review!

I love IKEA, and only recently discovered that they ship to my house for a fairly low shipping cost! I went years without ordering from IKEA because everyone always talks about how expensive shipping is- BUT that’s only for the larger items. Shipping smaller home items is usually around $10, and I’ve made a couple of orders in the last few months with various home decor items.

A few years ago, I revamped our spice containers using glass jars from Michaels, and lables that I ordered on Etsy. I ended up with beautiful spice jars, but nowhere to display them. My mom bought me a white metal shelf that I put them on, but it never looked how I wanted it to.

Enter the BEKVÄM Spice Rack. These spice racks are only $9 each, and have a TON of uses. I wish I would have found them when Mason was a baby, because a lot of people use them as floating book shelves in toddler rooms, and it looks SO cute.

To match the other shelves in our kitchen, I decided to paint them white using the colour “Victorian Lace’ by Fusion Mineral Paint. If you’re local to Fredericton, I always buy my Fusion paint at Tweedside Road.

Kris hung them up for me, and I LOVE how it looks.

I’m currently growing my own herbs to plant in the Umbra hanging plant holders, which are right beside the new spice racks. I really love the vibe of this part of our kitchen, and can’t wait for the herbs to actually grow so we can use them.
