Blue Moon Witches Party
As you guys know if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, I tend to like things that are a little bit witchy-woo. I read tarot cards, I love crystals and I’ve always just been really into spiritual stuff, manifestation, etc.
At the beginning of 2020, one of my friends connected with me about starting a group chat with another friend who is also really into all of this stuff. We had a video chat where we all just talked about our experiences and things that we were interested in. From there, we formed a group chat on Facebook messenger where every single day we check in with each other and talk about the things we’re grateful for that happened that day. I’m so proud of us for keeping it going this long and it has been such a beneficial experience in my life.
For Halloween this year our friend Karen decided to have a full moon witches party, and I was beyond excited to attend. Due to the current pandemic the party was small and everyone that attended was healthy. Our friend and group chat founder Ashley was not feeling great so she didn’t attend and we SO missed her being there! We definitely want to do more of these get togethers in the future.
The Party
Before the party, I took Mason trick or treating at friends & families houses. Then he stayed with my mom for the evening (along with my beagle Jasper).
When I got to Karen’s house (which is beautiful btw), I was super impressed at the food spread she had prepared. I mean, look at this!
There were three types of wine, Apple cider, and non-alcoholic punch. I gravitated towards the rosé.
We all just hung out and relaxed, which is my favourite type of party (my fellow introverts know what I’m taking about).
We shared stories of our past life regressions (blog post on that coming soon), talked about manifestation, discussed crystals, etc.
Karen’s black cat, Boo joined us periodically (and he is pure magic!)
We all came with lists prepared of things we wanted to let go of under the blue moon. Full Moons are great for releasing things, so we went outside under the moon and burned our lists.
When we got inside, we hung out in front of the fireplace to eat some more, read oracle cards, talk about crystals, etc.
Karen gifted us all a folder of different moon cycle rituals and more that we can do at home, and a full moon bath soak that she made herself.
It was truly the best Halloween I’ve had in a long time, and although this one was a “once in a blue moon” kind of thing, we will definitely be doing it again.
