Everything I Wore On Vacation | Plus Size Style Guide

I’m back from a week at the ocean! I typically wear a lot of dresses on vacation because they’re so easy to throw on and style. I decided to bring about 7 dresses with me on vacation this year- which was more than enough for our 5 nights there.

We stayed at an Airbnb between Parlee Beach and Pointe Du Chene Wharf in Shediac. It had a full length mirror in the bathroom, which was perfect for taking my daily outfit selfies.

1- My Old Navy Mustard Yellow Dress

I bought this dress last Summer, and it’s probably the most comfortable one I own. I wore this dress for traveling to Shediac, and on our first day there. It gives me vintage vibes, and I wore it with my white Keds (I wore the Keds and my Ray Bans with almost every outfit this week).

2- My Old Navy Blue Floral Dress

I bought this dress last year as well, and it’s definitely my most worn out of all the dresses. I wore this dress 2-3 times on vacation, because it’s my favorite. In the first photo below, I wore it with my new Shediac ball cap (I’m such a tourist), and purse from The Shoe Company. I threw on a sun hat with it for a walk to the beach.

3- My flirty Pennington’s Popover Dress

I ordered this dress back in the Spring and just took the tags off for this vacation. It’s just a fun and simple black popover dress, but the print, belt and buttons on the sleeves gives it a fun and flirty vibe. I wore this dress when we went for ice cream at the wharf.

4- My Navy Long Sleeved Pennington’s Dress

I love this dress and usually get a lot of compliments on it. I wore it during a trip to Moncton when we went antiquing. It’s also a go-to for me when I go out for dinner. It’s really comfortable and flattering, and surprisingly cool despite the thicker fabric.

5- My Floral Pennington’s Ruffle Dress

I bought this dress during winter clearance last year, thinking it would be good to wear if I got invited to a wedding, shower, etc. I wore it one evening to the wharf when we went for ice cream. It’s definitely not something I would consider a casual Summer/vacation dress like the others I brought, but it was a fun change.

6- My Navy & White Striped Penningtons Dress

This one is another favorite of mine that I bought last Summer! I have a blouse with the exact same print and fabric, also from Penningtons.

I wore this dress on a boat cruise around the bay, and also to dinner at Captain Dan’s. I paired it with my LL Bean Boat & Tote, and also my Donald Duck Canteen Life Buoy Bag from Call It Spring.

7- My Old Navy Striped Linen Dress

I bought this dress a few months ago for my photo shoot with Ashley Marie Creative Studios. I LOVE the feel of a linen dress- it’s similar to wearing a really comfortable sheet tbh. I wore this on our last day in Shediac. We went antiquing in Grande-Digue, and the shop owner told me how much she loved it. It was a really comfortable dress to wear on the drive home. I paired it with my watermelon tote from Aldo.

When I wasn’t wearing the above dresses to the beach, I was wearing my Pennington’s 2 piece bathing suit & cover up! I purchased this set for another part of my photo shoot with Ashley! It was my first time ever wearing a 2 piece in public, and I loved it. I usually wore it with my adidas slides, black sun hat and Ray Bans.
